Happy 4th of July!

4th of July week was busier than expected in the shop, but that is always a good thing!
Naomi is a Golden Doodle, and is the sweetest dog!  I met her and her owner for the first time this week, and it was so cute to see how much he LOVES this dog!  It was a pleasure to get to groom her!
Here is Naomi after her groom!  Her owner loved it so much, I get to see her again in 3 weeks!
Molly got a little feather poof in her tail to celebrate the 4th!
Three little 4th of July babies waiting to get picked up!
Bentley the Aussie-Doodle BEFORE
Bentley AFTER.  A month or so ago, I shaved Bentley's litter-mate (Jazzy).  I did Bentley's cut a little different by leaving more hair on his top knot and leaving a bit of a mustache and beard.  Isn't he a handsome boy?
Paxil BEFORE (his Daddy tried to clip him before they decided to leave it to the professionals)

My daughter, Rebecca likes to help out in the shop.  Here she is "helping" me brush out Sadie.
Zeus is hands down the BIGGEST dog I have ever had in the shop!  Good thing he has a sweet personality and was willing to let me groom him!
Although is huge, Zeus still thinks he is a little lap dog.  Literally!  He kept plopping himself down in my lap while I was trying to brush him out.  :)  My husband thinks this picture makes it look like I am grooming a buffalo rather than a dog!
Even this big boy fits in the tub with a little extra room!  (Have I mentioned how much I am LOVING my new tub?)
I love this sweet face!
Maggie is all ready for the hot summer with her new shave!
Luna the Blue Heeler did awesome during her groom!  Her owner is hoping to have less shedding in her home, so I spent lots of time brushing out this pretty girl's fur.  I love the markings and the size of little Luna.  She was great!
Penny BEFORE
Penny AFTER.  Penny has been to other groomers before, but usually doesn't like being groomed.  Because I limit the number of dogs I have in my shop each day, Penny doesn't seem to mind being groomed by me.  She is so good for me while I groom her.  Some dogs just need a quiet space to be groomed!
Jasper BEFORE.  Her owner brought her in thinking she would have to be shaved, but I told her I thought I could get her looking pretty without having to shave her.
Jasper AFTER.  I was so glad I was able to brush out all the mats and dead winter coat.  Isn't she gorgeous?!  She was so soft after her groom, even I couldn't stop petting her!  Her owner was so happy Jasper got to keep her lovely fur!
Jake is the cutest Corgi/Heeler.  I was happy he didn't inherit the Corgi's tendency to HATE nail trims!  He did awesome for me, and just let me do whatever I needed to do to get him looking handsome!
Val BEFORE.
Val AFTER.  I fell in love with this little Shih Tzu!  She is the sweetest little cuddle bug!  And how could anyone not fall in love with those big beautiful eyes!  I am so glad I will be seeing her again!
Even though it's been a busy week, it's also been one of the best weeks in my shop!  The dogs this week were so sweet and cooperative, and the owners are some of the nicest people I've had in the shop.  I feel so blessed to be able to groom these pets!

New Tub!

I am so excited about the new tub I have in my shop now!  It has made grooming the big dogs so much easier on both me and them!
Tanner was my first customer in the tub!  There's almost room for 2 Labradors in there!

Little Dogs

I recently got to help out at the spay and neuter clinic in Sheridan, and met a couple of sweet little dogs who needed groomed.  They came in to the shop to see me this week.

Autumn is a Pomeranian.  I don't shave most Pomeranians because they have a double coat, but if they have been shaved before, or need it because of matting, then I will shave them.  In this case, Autumn had been shaved before, and her owner likes her in a lion cut for the Summer.  She is a little cutie!  She wanted to spin circles on the table the whole time, but I finally got her calmed down enough to get shaved.
Here is Autumn and her brother Bear (a Peek-a-Pom).  I couldn't hardly get the 2 to stand still for a picture together!  Bear did not want to be getting groomed, so he turned his back to me the whole time and wouldn't hardly look at me.  I felt so bad!  But when his owner came to get him, he was struttin' his stuff like nobody's business!  I'm pretty sure he was just pretending to hate the pampering, but really, he LOVED it!  I so enjoyed getting to groom these two cuties!

Belle the Shichon came back to see me!  She is the cutest little girl!  We shaved her last time, but this time her owner wanted her to look more like a Bichon.  So I just trimmed up her top knot, face, and feet.  After her bath, I brushed her while blow drying her so that she looked like a fluffy white powder puff!  My daughters kept wanting to pet the "poofy puppy!"  She sits so good to get groomed!  Love this girl!

Max the Lhasa Apso came in with is brother Itsy the Maltese.  This was my first time with these two boys, and I loved getting to see their fun personalities.  Max has a cute way of saying "hi" with his paws whenever anyone walks in the door, and little Itsy gets so excited he just dances around the shop the whole time.  I am excited to see these two again!
